Dewi Sant

Dewi Sant told us to “Do the little things.”

To keep the Saint happy, choose one of the mini-actions below to do TODAY:

1) Put up some of our yellow stickers in your area (e-mail us in the office to ask for free yellow stickers!)

2) Put a website sticker on the back of your car – CaruCymru.com and others are available at http://www.cafepress.com/cymuned/1638760 for very low prices (they’re sent from America, because unfortunately no company in Wales offers this service yet – as soon as they do, we’ll switch suppliers)

3) Wear a Dewi Sant badge with one of Cymuned’s website addresses on it – a number are available at http://www.cafepress.com/cymuned for very low prices – or why not buy 100 and share them with your friends, if you want to make a real impact?

4) It would be a huge help to us if you were willing to put a small advert in your local paper, to promote one of our websites – DeadWelsh.com, NotEnglish.com and WelshNotBritish.com work best. You only need to put the website address in, and small adverts like this are often surprisingly reasonably priced.

5) Use one of our websites as your e-mail address. We can set up yourname@carucymru.com (or any one of the other website addresses) so that all emails sent to that address are passed on to your existing account. This is a remarkably powerful and easy way to spread the word.

6) Send us names and addresses of people you know who are supportive of our work, but not yet members. We will then send them an invitation to become members – you no longer need to suggest membership to your friends and family (which can always feel a little awkward) – out of every 5 names and addresses you send us, 1 or 2 will become members. This makes an ENORMOUS difference to us.

7) If you can spare 5 minutes a week, what about sending a letter to your local paper to draw attention to one of our websites? Every time a newspaper publishes a letter which contains one of our website addresses, a number of new people sign up for our weekly e-mail, and a percentage of them later on become members and practical contributors to our work.

8) Buy and wear one of our T-shirts. We’ve got a range of T-shirts with a red dragon on them, and the website addresses CARTREFI.com, Sing4Wales.com, WelshNotBritish.com and NotEnglish.com. We sell them for £12 in the Eisteddfod, but for only £5 to our members (plus £2 for p&p). Send us £7 with a note saying which website you would prefer, what size you would like, and whether you would prefer a black or a white T-shirt, and we’ll have one in the post to you within a fortnight.

9) Forward your weekly Cymuned e-mail to people you know who would be interested in our work (and if you don’t get the weekly e-mail, sign up to get it regularly at www.DeadWelsh.com!).

FINALLY – not yet a member? We NEED your help. Send us your name and address, and we’ll send you a letter explaining exactly how you could make a REAL difference…:-)

Choose your action, and *do* it NOW! Building a better world can’t be done by going to one or two protests a year – it needs five minutes a day… and that five minutes a day really does make things happen!

P.S. Stickers should not be put on public property.

P.P.S. Remember to let us know in the office if you do any of the above activities – we will then send you a personal invitation to join our strictly private website for members who make a practical contribution to our work.
